I've been a Weird Al fan since 1984, when a friend introduced me to "Eat It". Al's songs have not only defined my taste in music, but also my sense of humor. I really didn't listen to other artists until many years later. Even today, it's strange when I hear a "parody" of Al's music for the first time. Of course I know it's the other way around, but still ! :)

Here's all the Weird Al concerts I've been to:

Evidence that I'm cool!

A few days after the 07-15-2004 concert, I did some web surfing and stumbled onto the Weird Al forums for the first time. Naturally, I was interested in the thread about the Mohegan Sun concert and was quite surprised to find this picture:

Al singing

That's me in the bright green shirt! I was squinting because I was looking directly into the light. (My face is all 255's!) Standing just 1 foot to my left, of course, was Weird Al. He was singing "Wanna B Ur Lovr" at the time. This is his latest "love" song filled with lousy pick-up lines. He was about to hold the hand of the woman sitting directly behind me. I'm not disappointed that he skipped me (I'm male afterall). Still, it's pretty damn cool that he was standing right next to me for a moment. The fact that I have evidence of this blows me away! :)

Special thanks to David Rossi (aka Elvis) for smuggling his camera into the concert, sitting in the row directly behind me, snapping a picture at the exact right time, and posting it on the forums!
